Mark S. Shulman co founded GSA in July 1982, after an extensive career in the field of engineering and construction
A graduate of Drexel University, Mr. Shulman has more than twenty years of varied experience in engineering, design, construction management and construction. Prior to his co founding of GSA, he held positions as mechanical and electrical project engineer with Perini Corporation, as manager of corporate energy and construction with Gino's Inc., as well as project manager with Steller Manufacturing Co. This background has allowed Mark to attain a variety of skills in mechanical engineering and construction, plus designing systems for HVAC, life safety, fire suppression, smoke evacuation, energy conservation, contract administration and construction management. His background in fieldwork ranges from construction supervision and management of multi-million dollar mechanical and electrical high-rise casino hotel systems to start up and testing of life safety and smoke control systems.
In addition to design, he is well versed in the preparation and analysis of conceptual, budgetary, preliminary and final estimates and proposals for many kinds of engineering projects. Mark is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, New York, West Virginia, Indiana, Mississippi, Iowa, Delaware, Maryland, Michigan and Missouri.
Mr. Shulman is a member of BOCA, NFPA, NSPE, and he is an active participant in the Building Sub-code Committee to the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code Advisory Board.
